Emily Combs, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
My name is Emily Combs. I am a Nurse Practitioner at Midland Spine Institute. I am originally from New Mexico but moved out to the Permian Basin to support my husband’s career in the oil field. In 2007, I obtained my Associate Degree in Nursing at Clovis Community College and started my career as a pediatric nurse. Within a year of nursing, I transferred to the ER because I felt the need to develop a sense of diversity in my career. After several years as an ER nurse, I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM and later obtained my Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. I spent much of my nursing career in the Emergency Room setting before becoming a provider. I have a passion for helping others and if I can make a small difference in the lives of my patients, I consider it a success!
I currently live in Midland, TX with my husband and our four wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, gardening, and am actively involved in our local church.
